On Monday, FOP #3 issued a request to the community for urgently needed supplies to protect the health and safety of our Baltimore Police Officers. In very short order, Baltimore City Councilman Yitzy Schleifer (District 5) responded and generously supplied/facilitated the donation of many masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes. FOP #3 cannot thank the Councilman, and the citizens of District 5, enough. We worked into the night packaging these items for distribution and yesterday we delivered the packages to all 9 Districts and to many of the Units at HQ. The balance will be distributed today. We would also like to thank those citizens and members of our Union who also generously donated. While all of these supplies are very much appreciated, they will very quickly be depleted, and we must again issue a request for assistance. We urge anyone that can help with donations to drop off disinfectant wipes, spray, gloves, masks and hand sanitizer, Mon-Fri, from 8am – 4pm to:
